Meet Max
Before Nori, we met Max. Max was born with three rare conditions: complete GI heterotaxy, left atrial isomerism, and biliary atresia. He spent much of the first three years of his life living at SickKids alongside his family.
In April 2020, at the height of COVID, Max received a life-saving liver transplant donated by his dad. When we welcomed him to our office for a pancake party and cheque signing, his outgoing personality and positivity filled the room.
Today, Max even speaks at schools and corporate events with Make-A-Wish, sharing his story and inspiring others. Meeting him reminded us that behind every hospital journey is a child with humour, resilience, and a whole life beyond treatment—and it continues to shape how we show up, not only by donating, but by being present in meaningful, human ways whenever we can.
